We are honoured to announce the conference keynote speakers:

Prof. dr. Bart P.M. JOOSEN (University of Amsterdam)

Prof. dr. Bart P.M. Joosen is professor of Prudential Supervisory Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Amsterdam. He is also President of the Academic Board of the European Banking Institute. He has expertise on financial services supervision with a focus on micro-prudential supervision of banks (including in-depth Basel II/Basel III/Basel IV and Solvency II knowledge), insurance companies and investment firms and payment services.

His fields of interest are legal issues in respect of banks, insurance institutions and other financial companies with a focus on prudential supervision. This topic became more important in the context of the economic and financial crises that commenced in 2007.

He has published widely in these areas;

Prof.Stepan LYUBAVSKIY, PhD (Saint Petersburg State University of Economics (UNECON))

Professor Stepan Lyubavskiy is the Head of the Centre for International Taxation at St Petersburg State University of Economics. He is the author of a number of articles, textbooks and courses related to taxation, which are taught at St Petersburg State University of Economics and have also been published in various business and academic magazines.

In addition to his academic achievements prof Lyubavskiy acts as an independent consultant for various businesses in Russia which are involved in tax planning and tax structuring. He is a subject matter expert in Russian and international taxation, currency, labour, corporate and individual taxation, cross-border tax structuring and tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, transfer pricing, tax controversies and litigation. He also provides support to the World Bank in the preparation of reports known as “Doing Business”.
